Imagine being in a crowd full of energy, dancing to the power of youth and living in the moment. There’s no stress, no worries, but a bottle of beer, exciting music and a starry night. There is nothing better to do in summer than enjoying all of those things at once, especially in this beautiful city, Songdo. Here are some upcoming summer festivals held in Songdo and its suburbs.
2018 Songdo Global Beer Festival
Being the largest international beer festival held annually in Korea, this year marks the eighth running of the festival, which starts at 18:00 and lasts until midnight from August 24th to September 1st. There will be beers from all over the world and a wide variety of foods, music, dances, and performances. The fireworks and the DJ’s music selection have always been a key success to this festival.

2018 Incheon Pentaport Rock Festival
This rock festival is another annual event which is considered as one of the biggest live music events in Korea. In 2017, there were more than 16 lineups in a night. World-renowned artists such as Dua Lipa, Bastille, Thornapple, Charli XCX, DNCE, Land of Peace, 5 Seconds of Summer, and Zion. T performed to light up the festival. The festival is listed on the world’s 50 “must-see festivals” by British entertainment magazine, “TimeOut”. Companies such as ‘Heineken’ will sponsor the festival, and there will be fireworks as well.
The festival is planned for the last Friday, Saturday, and Sunday of July or early weekend of August at the Moonlight Festival Park in Songdo. It is estimated from last festival that the cost will vary from how many days and what day you plan to enjoy the festival: 3 days for 220,000 won, 2 days for 180,000 won, one of Saturday or Sunday for 130,000 won, and Friday for 90,000 won. Wolmido Fireworks Cruise
Wolmido is waiting for people who wish to explore Incheon metropolitan city and take an adventure beyond Songdo. Imagine going on a romantic cruise for 80 minutes where there is music, dances, performances, and fireworks on water. The Cosmos Cruise was newly built in July 2017 with three decks to enjoy the performances, music, dances as well as fireworks from inside and outside the vessel.
The cruise has been going on from February 2018 and is planned till December 2018. The cost differs from weekdays to weekends: 15,000 won for adults and 8,000 won for children as of weekdays, and double the prices on the weekends for adults and children. The cruise usually departs at 16:40 from Wolmido cruise terminal in Incheon, but regular checking on the website (http://www.wolmidocruise.com/) is needed.
